Collection and Storage of Human Biological Samples in CU-Med Biobank for Cancer and Other Diseases Research

Researchers are collecting and storing high-quality human biological samples linked to detailed clinical data from patients with cancer and other diseases, as well as from healthy volunteers. This observational study provides valuable specimens and data to support scientific research aimed at understanding disease mechanisms and improving clinical applications. The collected information includes clinical, pathological, molecular, and genetic details to aid in research for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment development. Specimens are obtained through surgical procedures, blood draws, or other non-invasive methods. The collected samples are stored and made available to researchers under approved consented protocols. Participants include healthy individuals and patients with various conditions such as cancer, heart disease, neurological disorders, kidney diseases, and diabetes. Participants who provide consent will have their specimens and de-identified clinical data collected and stored. The study focuses on distributing these biospecimens for research and exploring the pathological mechanisms of acute and chronic diseases. The study continues until 2050, allowing long-term support for research advancements. There is no intervention or treatment administered to participants during this observational study.
