Mental Health and Eating Disorders Screening in Adults with Obesity Data Collection for Personalized Overweight Management

Researchers are exploring the connection between mental health disorders and obesity, focusing on adults with overweight or obesity who often have psychiatric conditions like mood disorders, anxiety, attention deficit disorder, and binge eating disorder. This observational study aims to develop better screening tools for these mental health issues and understand their impact on obesity treatment and management. The study also seeks to identify underlying biological and psychological factors linked to this combination of conditions. Participants in this study will undergo assessments using several questionnaires to evaluate symptoms related to binge eating, anxiety, depression, attention deficit, food addiction, and impulsive behavior. The study collects data from medical records including sociodemographic, anthropometric, and biological information to support research on the links between mental health and obesity. Authorization will be sought from participants to access their medical records for comprehensive data collection. During the study, participants will provide information through various mental health and sociodemographic questionnaires at baseline. Researchers will analyze the prevalence of psychiatric disorders in this population and assess how these conditions affect obesity management. The study is observational, with no investigational treatments administered. Participants data will contribute to developing personalized resources to support mental health and obesity care. The study is expected to continue until November 2072, with ongoing data collection and analysis.
