Specimen Banking and Data Registry with Tumor Model Development for Pediatric Cancers

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are collecting data and specimens from children and young adults with suspected or confirmed pediatric cancers, as well as cancer survivors and healthy volunteers, to better understand how genetic and molecular features relate to cancer outcomes. This observational registry aims to help doctors make informed treatment decisions by studying tumor genetics and creating tumor models. The study focuses on gathering molecular information like DNA and RNA sequencing and epigenetics over a long period. Participants include those with suspected or confirmed pediatric solid tumors, survivors of childhood or young adult cancers who are more than six months off therapy, individuals with disease-matched conditions, and healthy volunteers. This study does not involve any interventions but collects specimens and clinical data. Banked samples will support future research including development of tumor cell lines and models to advance knowledge of pediatric cancers. During the study, researchers will gather clinical information, genomic data, and bank additional specimens for up to 10 years. They will evaluate genomic alterations, their correlations with clinical outcomes, and identify biomarkers predicting risks related to cancer therapy and disease states. Participants will provide consent for specimen banking and data use. The study facilitates long-term monitoring through data collection without direct treatment involvement.
