Safety and Effectiveness Evaluation of a Combined Multimodal Tumor Thermal Ablation System for Liver Cancer Treatment

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating a combined multimodal tumor thermal ablation system as a treatment for liver cancer, including both primary and metastatic types. The study aims to assess the safety, effectiveness, and immune system changes associated with this approach. It is designed as an interventional trial sponsored by Fudan University. Participants will receive multimodal tumor thermal ablation targeting liver tumors. Eligible patients have tumors between 3 and 5 cm in diameter that can be imaged for treatment. This treatment is offered to those who cannot undergo or refuse surgical removal of tumors. The study focuses on the treatment group receiving this device-based therapy without a comparison group. During the study, participants will be monitored for tumor ablation success one month after treatment. Researchers will also examine changes in the immune system through blood tests and record any adverse or serious events within that month. The total study duration extends until the end of 2027, with primary outcome assessments completed by the end of 2026.
