Observational Study on Public Health Among Quebec Residents Diagnosed with COVID-19 Conducted by Undergraduate Medical Students at University of Sherbrooke

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are conducting a population-based prospective study to support the research training of undergraduate medical students at the University de Sherbrooke. The study aims to improve understanding of public health issues by exploring their prevalence and social and geographic distribution across several regions in Quebec. This research is guided by themes proposed by affiliated researchers and selected annually by an internal scientific committee. The study involves participants from two regional health and social services centers in Quebec Estrie and Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. Undergraduate medical students in their third year will collect data through telephone interviews. There are no treatment interventions in this observational study. Participants will be asked to complete health questionnaires once a year throughout the study. The data collected will provide insights into public health topics relevant to Quebec regions. The study began in August 2019 and will continue until September 2030, allowing for long-term monitoring and data collection by the students.
