Blood Sample Collection to Study DNA Methylation Markers for Detecting Cancer and Benign Diseases in Adults

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are collecting blood samples from adults who have cancer, are in cancer remission, have benign diseases such as diabetes or liver conditions, or are healthy volunteers. The study aims to evaluate specific DNA methylation markers in the blood to help detect various types of cancer and understand factors that may affect test results. Participants will provide whole blood, plasma, and serum samples that will be analyzed using a multi-analyte blood test designed to detect DNA methylation markers for cancer detection. The study will also investigate how benign conditions and substances like chemotherapy drugs might influence the tests accuracy. During the study, blood samples will be collected and examined to measure the tests sensitivity and specificity, check for interfering substances, and assess sample stability and reference ranges. Participants will be involved in providing blood samples within an 8-week period, and the main outcomes will be reviewed about one month after collection. The study is sponsored by Helio Genomics and is expected to complete in early 2028.
