This research aims to improve understanding and treatment of fasting hypoglycemia, a condition characterized by low blood sugar levels, caused by various factors such as insulinomas and other pancreatic tumors. The study focuses on learning about the causes, identifying new blood markers for insulinomas, and creating a collection of clinical data and samples for future research. Participants diagnosed with fasting hypoglycemia will be admitted to the Clinical Center of the National Institutes of Health for evaluation and treatment according to standard care practices. During the study, patients will undergo tests including fasting blood sugar measurements and insulin level assessments to understand their specific condition better. Throughout the study, participants will be monitored regularly, with treatment outcomes assessed every 1 to 3 months. They will receive medical and surgical care as needed, and the research team will collect detailed clinical information and blood samples to support ongoing and future investigations into hypoglycemia and insulinomas.
