What this Trial Is About

Anterior cruciate ligament ACL rupture is a common knee injury, especially in young and active adults. This study evaluates the clinical and radiographic outcomes and failure rates over more than two years in patients undergoing revision ACL reconstruction using different surgical techniques and graft types, including allografts and autografts. The goal is to better understand how surgical choices affect knee stability, failure risk, and long-term joint health. Participants receive revision ACL reconstruction performed with various surgical approaches such as single-bundle, double-bundle, or combined extra-articular procedures. The study considers different graft types, either autografts or allografts, with surgical strategy tailored based on factors like meniscal and cartilage condition and previous surgery details. The study includes objective assessments of knee laxity using the KT-1000 arthrometer and advanced functional movement analysis through AI-based markerless motion capture evaluated by Sports2D software. During the study, participants are followed for at least 24 months after surgery with clinical exams, instability tests Lachman, anterior drawer, pivot shift, and radiographic imaging. Functional outcomes are measured using scores such as the Lysholm Knee Score, International Knee Documentation Committee form, Tegner Activity Scale, and WOMAC. Objective knee laxity and movement patterns are assessed. The main outcome is survival rate of the graft, with ongoing monitoring to identify factors affecting knee stability and osteoarthritis development.
