Total Duration
This research investigates early complications after two types of endovascular treatmentsflow diverter and stent-assisted coilingin patients with unruptured wide-neck intracranial bifurcation aneurysms. The study aims to compare the risks of stroke or death within 30 days of the procedure using data from 274 patients treated at three centers in China. This real-world cohort study seeks to gather meaningful safety information about these treatment options in routine clinical practice. Participants will receive either flow diverter treatment, involving deployment of a flow-diverting stent across the aneurysm neck, or stent-assisted coiling, where a stent is placed followed by coil embolization. Both treatments will be done according to clinical guidelines and routine practice, including perioperative management and antiplatelet therapy. Patients are assigned to groups based on the treatment they receive in routine care. During the study, participants will undergo preoperative assessments, perioperative care, and postoperative follow-up including antiplatelet therapy. Data collected will include clinical, laboratory, imaging, and procedural details along with adverse events. Follow-up assessments at 30 days after treatment will track early complications such as stroke or death. The study will evaluate safety outcomes and treatment-related risks over this period.
