What this Trial Is About
This research aims to explore how an educational escape game affects students' motivation, academic self-confidence, and success levels. It includes students enrolled in an elderly care program and compares those participating in the escape game with those using a traditional question-answer method. The study hypothesizes that the escape game will lead to higher motivation, self-efficacy, and achievement. Participants are divided into two groups based on their program branches: the experimental group engages in the educational escape game, which involves four stations focusing on pulse, respiration-oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and body temperature, each with its own scenario. The control group participates in a question-answer activity. These interventions take place in a skills laboratory setting. During the study, students' motivation is assessed one month after the interventions using the "Motivation Scale for Teaching Materials." Data collection also includes monitoring academic self-efficacy and success through specific scales and tests. Participation requires attendance during data collection and the ability to access Google forms via phone and internet. The study runs until March 2025, with random assignment to groups and single masking applied.
