Study of Lifespan Integration Therapy for Adults With Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying the effectiveness of a new type of psychotherapy called Lifespan Integration LI for adults diagnosed with complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD. This study aims to assess how well LI therapy can help reduce symptoms and improve emotional regulation in patients suffering from this condition. It is an interventional study conducted by the Centre Hospitalier St Anne without any blinding or placebo comparison. Participants will receive LI Therapy delivered by experienced and specially trained psychologists or psychiatrists at two centers. The treatment includes 15 sessions following the Basic Protocol focused on complex PTSD symptoms. An optional additional session called the PTSD protocol may be offered at the start if a participant has had a very recent trauma that worsens their symptoms. During the study, patients will be regularly evaluated using tools such as the International Trauma Questionnaire and the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale over a period of up to one year. These assessments will help measure changes in trauma-related symptoms and emotional regulation abilities. The study monitors patients closely throughout the therapy to understand the therapys impact and any changes over time.
