What this Trial Is About
Researchers are evaluating how combining virtual reality with plyometric workouts affects abdominal obesity in adolescent females. This randomized clinical trial focuses on females aged 13 to 18 years who have abdominal obesity and a medical history of polycystic ovarian syndrome. The study aims to measure changes in waist circumference, waist-hip ratio, body mass index, and lung function over a 12-week period. A total of 100 adolescent females will be randomly assigned to two groups of 50 each. Study Group A will perform immersive virtual reality exercises combined with plyometric and abdominal workouts. Study Group B will engage in treadmill aerobic training combined with the same plyometric and abdominal exercises. Both groups will follow their respective programs consistently for three months. Participants will have key physical measurements and lung function tests taken before starting and after completing the treatment program. These include waist circumference, waist-hip ratio, body mass index, and pulmonary function assessed by electronic spirometry. The trial will monitor these outcomes to assess any improvements or changes related to the combined exercise approaches over the 12 weeks of study.
