AI-Summary

What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating the Invest in Play (iiP) parent program to see if it can reduce problem behaviors in children and improve parenting practices in families with children who show challenging behaviors. The trial compares families participating in the iiP program to those in a control group receiving usual care to determine if the program leads to better outcomes for both children and parents. The study involves randomly assigning families to either the iiP program group or a control group. The iiP program consists of 12 weekly sessions led by two trained group leaders and is designed as a group-based intervention for parents. The control group will continue with usual care, which may include further assessments, school meetings, individual care, or psychoeducation. Participants will complete surveys before and after the 12-week program to measure changes in children's problem behaviors and parenting practices. Researchers will assess outcomes using several tools, including the Eyberg Child Behavior Inventory and various parenting and child behavior scales, to evaluate changes from baseline to the end of treatment. The study runs until December 2028, with ongoing monitoring of these outcomes.
