Researchers are studying the eating habits and health of men and women aged 55 to 75 living in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region to better understand how diet affects aging. The study aims to classify participants into five dietary groups linked to more or less successful aging, considering factors like protein-energy intake, waist circumference, and diet quality scores. Researchers will also examine physical activity, health status, socio-economic factors, and biological samples to provide a comprehensive view of each participant's health and diet. Participants will complete the study remotely without needing to travel. After giving consent through a secure online visit, they will receive a phenotyping box by mail containing materials for self-collection of blood drops and urine samples, along with instructions. They will complete 29 questionnaires online covering eating habits, physical activity, and health aspects, and perform functional and anthropometric tests. Biological samples are sent back to the laboratory within two days of collection. Throughout the study, participants will provide detailed information via questionnaires and biological samples, while researchers measure various health and dietary factors. After completing the surveys, participants may join regional meetings to receive general feedback and awareness on health dimensions studied. Personalized feedback on their dietary group and health strengths and weaknesses will be given at the end, helping them understand their nutritional status compared to others. The study runs until 2028, with assessments completed within 30 days after enrollment.
