What this Trial Is About
This research evaluates functional outcomes in patients with Ulcerative Colitis and Indeterminate Colitis IBDU who have undergone ileal pouch anal anastomosis IPAA, also known as a J pouch. The study focuses on fecal incontinence and health-related quality of life before, during, and after treatment with a device called the Emsella chair. Participants will receive High Intensity Focused Electromagnetic Stimulation by sitting on the device for 28 minutes, twice a week, over a period of three weeks. This intervention aims to assess changes in symptoms and quality of life related to their condition. During the study, researchers will measure patient-reported outcomes including overall quality of life, sexual function and satisfaction, fecal incontinence severity, and pelvic organ dysfunction at baseline, 1 month, and 3 months after treatment. These assessments will help determine the impact of the treatment over time.
