Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- The subject is willing to provide signed informed consent and participate in the study
- Former NFL player
- At least one year since retirement from football
- Younger than 76 years of age
- Diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency by a neurologist and an endocrinologist
You will not qualify if you...
- History of brain disease other than concussion or traumatic brain injury
- History of disabling condition that affects outcome assessments
- Contraindication to growth hormone therapy
- Type I or II diabetes mellitus
- Active malignant disease
- Acute critical illness, heart failure, or acute respiratory failure
- Deficient in cortisol, testosterone, or thyroid at screening until hormone levels are corrected
