Study to Support Fathers and Father Figures in Parenting, Relationships, and Employment Through Workshops and Case Management in Floridas Gulf Coast

What this Trial Is About

This research aims to support fathers and father figures who face challenges in parenting, relationships, and economic stability. It focuses on men aged 18 and older who have children under 24 years old, living in certain Florida counties. The program addresses these needs through workshops on responsible parenting, marriage, and relationships, along with job and career advancement services, aiming to foster stronger family bonds and financial security. Participants in the study are divided into two groups. One group takes part in a 12-week program including workshops on parenting and relationships, alongside employment services and case management. The other group is placed on a wait-list and will receive these services after completing the studys 24-week follow-up assessments. The program uses specific curricula designed to improve family functioning and economic mobility. During the study, participants will complete surveys at 24 weeks to measure family environment, relationship quality, perceived job barriers, and employment hope. Researchers will monitor progress through these assessments to understand the impact of the program. The study runs from April 2022 through June 2025, with participants involved for at least 24 weeks, including follow-up evaluations.
