What this Trial Is About
Researchers are studying the impact of mind-body therapies, such as hypnosis and relaxation, in addition to conventional psychological treatment CPT on anxiety in children, adolescents, and young adults who have been treated for pediatric cancer or leukemia and are currently in remission. This study aims to assess whether adding these mind-body therapies can help improve anxiety management compared to standard psychological care alone. Participants are randomly assigned to one of two groups one group receives nine sessions of standard psychological care over six months, while the other group receives the same psychological care combined with ten sessions of mind-body therapy. The mind-body sessions are scheduled over six months, with one session every two weeks for four months and then one session per month for two months, either on the same day or alternating with psychological care sessions. During the study, participants will attend scheduled therapy sessions and complete assessments that measure anxiety levels, depression, quality of life, and coping strategies at six and twelve months after starting psychological care. Researchers will also monitor treatment adherence and refusal rates over approximately one year. The total participation period involves these therapy sessions and follow-up evaluations to evaluate the benefits of the combined therapies.
