What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating the impact of an educational podcast on people with chronic pelvic pain or endometriosis. The study aims to understand whether listening to a series of podcast episodes alongside standard treatment can improve quality of life, reduce stigma, and increase satisfaction with medical care. Participants will be randomly assigned to either receive standard care alone or standard care plus access to the podcast series. Participants assigned to the podcast group will listen to 12 episodes covering topics related to chronic pelvic pain. The other group will receive only standard care without access to the podcast. This interventional study will last for six months, during which all participants will complete three online surveys lasting about ten minutes each. Throughout the study, participants will be assessed using questionnaires measuring pelvic pain impact, social support, loneliness, anticipated stigma, and patient satisfaction. Researchers will also evaluate participants' experience with the podcast after six months. The study is sponsored by Vanderbilt University Medical Center and aims to better understand how educational tools may affect management of chronic pelvic pain.
