Effect of Jigsaw Technique on Learning Knowledge About Stroke Patient Care in Nursing Students

This research focuses on nursing education, specifically on using the jigsaw technique to teach stroke patient care to nursing students. The study aims to see if this interactive learning method can improve students' cooperation, communication, and overall understanding of clinical care for stroke patients. Nursing education is evolving with new teaching methods to better prepare nurses for their crucial roles in healthcare. The jigsaw technique involves students working in groups where each member learns a part of the material and then teaches it to peers, fostering active participation and teamwork. This method contrasts with more common strategies like problem-based learning and simulation. The study will observe how this technique affects students' knowledge about stroke care and their academic confidence during the scheduled period from December 15, 2024, to January 31, 2025. Participants will be nursing students who have not previously received stroke care training and are attending classes during data collection. The researchers will assess students' knowledge and academic self-efficacy related to stroke patient care. The study will monitor how well students learn and apply the information using questionnaires or tests during the study timeframe. This observational study will continue until January 1, 2026, ensuring comprehensive data collection and analysis.
