What this Trial Is About

Researchers are investigating the use of advanced MRI techniques to study degenerative spinal disease, focusing on assessing the condition of compressed nerve roots. The study aims to identify imaging biomarkers affected by the disease and to understand how these markers change as the disease progresses and after treatment. This observational study includes both healthy volunteers and patients diagnosed with spine disease. Participants will undergo MRI scans at diagnosis, during the course of the disease, and following treatment. These MRI images will be analyzed by two neuroradiologists using advanced imaging methods to gather detailed information about the spine and nerve roots. The study does not involve treatment assignment but focuses on diagnostic data collection and analysis. During the study, participants will be evaluated over an 18-month period, with researchers measuring outcomes such as the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) and lumbar pain intensity. Participants will be asked to attend scheduled MRI assessments and provide consent for data collection. The goal is to track disease progression and treatment impact through imaging and clinical measures, with safety monitoring throughout the study period.
