Researchers are investigating how to best use various imaging techniques to assess carotid artery stenosis in patients. The study focuses on identifying optimal strategies that combine multi-modal MRI, CT, PET-MRI, and ultrasound to evaluate cerebral lesions, blood flow, and characteristics of carotid plaques. This observational research aims to improve diagnosis and treatment planning for patients undergoing carotid artery revascularization surgery. Participants in this study will undergo several imaging examinations including MRI-PWI, CTA, PET/MRI, and ultrasound both before and after their carotid revascularization surgery. The main treatment involved is carotid revascularization surgery performed at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. Imaging and biological samples will be collected for detailed analysis during the study period. During the study, participants will have imaging tests before and after surgery, with follow-up imaging occurring about six months post-operation. Researchers will monitor outcomes such as stroke, cardiac infarction, transient ischemic attack, cerebral hyperperfusion syndrome, and death during the hospital stay typically lasting 7-30 days after surgery. Secondary outcomes include imaging characteristics of MRI, PET/MRI, ultrasound, and carotid plaque features assessed about six months after surgery. Basic patient information and biological samples will also be collected for comprehensive evaluation.
