Children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 with a diagnosis of severe asthma by a doctor may be eligible. Eligibility Criteria

You may qualify if you...

Age between 6 and 18 years at inclusion
Diagnosis of asthma confirmed by a medical doctor
Poor symptom control in the last year despite medium to high doses of anti-inflammatory treatment
Good compliance and trained inhalation technique
Evidence of positive bronchodilator reversibility testing or significant bronchial hyperreactivity
High level of asthma treatment, including high-dose inhaled corticosteroids or oral steroids for at least 3 months
Poor asthma control defined by frequent symptoms, activity limitations, nighttime symptoms, or recent exacerbations
Written informed consent provided by parent or legal guardian

You will not qualify if you...

Diagnosis of other obstructive or systemic pulmonary diseases such as cystic fibrosis or COPD
Other congenital lung diseases or pulmonary malformations
Significant chronic diseases unrelated to asthma
Congenital or acquired heart defects causing significant functional limitations
