Russian Registry to Monitor Incidence and Natural Progression of Chronic Venous Disease in Lower Limbs

What this Trial Is About

This research aims to observe patients with primary varicose veins to understand the development, risk factors, and impact of chronic lower limb vein disease. It is a prospective observational cohort study conducted across multiple centers without a fixed end date, focusing on the natural course and incidence of this condition in affected and unaffected individuals. Participants are divided into groups based on the presence or absence of chronic venous disease signs, classified by the CEAP system. Data collection and clinical assessments, including ultrasound examinations, occur annually in the last quarter of each year. Patient information is continuously updated in a digital registry to track changes over time. Participants will undergo yearly clinical and ultrasound evaluations to monitor their venous system health. The study measures include the incidence of chronic venous disease, chronic venous insufficiency, and superficial vein thrombosis over one year. This long-term observation allows researchers to gather detailed information about the diseases progression and factors influencing it.
