A Research Study Investigating How Well the Medicine NNC0487-0111 Helps People With Excess Body Weight and Knee Osteoarthritis Lose Weight and Reduce Pain
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male or female (sex at birth)
- Age 18 years or older at the time of signing informed consent
- Clinical diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis with radiographic changes (Kellgren Lawrence grades 2 to 3) in the most symptomatic knee
- Knee pain for more than 90 days before screening and pain on more than 15 days in the prior 30 days
- Willingness to complete a 72-hour washout of pain medication before visits involving pain assessment (acetaminophen up to 4 grams per day allowed as rescue medication)
You will not qualify if you...
- Glycated haemoglobin level of 6.5% or higher at screening
- History of type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus
- Treatment with GLP-1 receptor agonists, dual GLP-1/GIP receptor agonists, or amylin analogues before screening
- Joint prosthesis or joint replacement in the target knee
- Arthroscopy or injections in the target knee within 90 days before screening
- Other joint diseases in the target knee such as gout or pseudogout
