What this Trial Is About
Researchers are evaluating a web-based strength-based intervention called KF-STRIDE designed to improve job interview skills in young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The study focuses on helping these young adults identify and communicate their unique strengths to potential employers, aiming to enhance their interview performance and job obtainment. This evaluation takes place in a real-world community setting to test the intervention's effectiveness outside a lab. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: the treatment group will receive 10 web-based sessions of KF-STRIDE, each lasting about 60 minutes and delivered once or twice a week by trained staff at a community partner organization. The control group will continue with their usual services and regular activities. KF-STRIDE uses positive psychology principles to help users practice discussing their strengths in socially appropriate ways. Throughout the study, participants will complete assessments including mock job interviews, employment status tracking, and various scales measuring strength knowledge, interview self-efficacy, anxiety, job search behavior, and work readiness at baseline, immediately after the intervention (around weeks 7 to 8), and at 6 months post-intervention. Additional measures include self-esteem evaluations. The total participation period includes immediate post-tests and a 6-month follow-up to monitor employment outcomes and skill improvements.
