Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- 18 years or older
- Able to provide informed consent
- Single malignant thyroid nodule on ultrasound, 1 cm or smaller in diameter, and at least 2 mm from the thyroid capsule
- No lymph node metastasis or other extra-glandular metastasis in the neck
- Papillary thyroid carcinoma confirmed by fine needle puncture pathology
- Patients not meeting the above nodule criteria but who strongly request thermal ablation after being informed of recurrence risk and are technically suitable for the procedure
You will not qualify if you...
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Having other malignant tumors and not suitable for ablation by clinical evaluation
- Unable to tolerate surgery
- Cognitive impairment or other conditions preventing accurate completion of thyroid-related questionnaires
