What this Trial Is About
The purpose of this research study is to investigate how the brain, memory, thinking, and motor behavior change both in individuals with movement and/or cognitive disorders, as well as healthy individuals. Researchers will look at measurements of memory, thinking, brain wave and muscle activity, daily functioning, and brain scans to learn more about brain disorders such as Alzheimer disease and Lewy body disease.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Use English as their primary language.
- Be willing to undergo health and cognitive assessments, as well as brain MRI and EEG study.
- Be encouraged to have an available study partner familiar with their daily functioning.
- Be healthy or have a clinical diagnosis of Lewy body disease or Alzheimer's disease confirmed by a board-certified neurologist.
- Be capable of providing informed consent and complying with study procedures.
- Maintain ongoing participation through adherence to criteria, clinical appropriateness, and family/caregiver wishes.
- Have received copies of signed informed consent forms.
- Have the right to withdraw from the study at any time.
You will not qualify if you...
- Have significant sensory (visual or hearing) deficits or major medical or psychiatric illnesses limiting participation.
- Have a history of major neurologic disorders like stroke, epilepsy, meningitis/encephalitis, metabolic or toxic encephalopathy, severe head injury, brain tumors, or other primary movement disorders.
- Have any implanted electrical device (e.g., pacemaker, neurostimulator) or certain metallic clips preventing MRI participation.
- Experience claustrophobic anxiety.
- Are pregnant, nursing, or women of childbearing potential without a negative pregnancy test.
- Have a history of metalworking involving cutting or eye injury with metal unless cleared by radiology for MRI.
