What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying adults with hand injuries to understand what limits their social participation and to see if a short video-based physiotherapy education can improve their knowledge and awareness. The study focuses on patients who have had fractures, tendon injuries, or carpal tunnel surgery in the hand area and have recently started physical therapy. It aims to identify key body functions and activity limitations that affect social involvement in this group. Participants will receive a 10-15 minute video-supported education session provided by physiotherapists. This video covers the role of physiotherapy in hand injuries, simple strategies for home and community use, home exercises, and assistive devices. All participants get this education immediately after completing baseline assessments. During the study, participants complete initial questionnaires and forms about their demographics, hand function, social participation, and awareness. They then retake the knowledge and awareness test right after the education session to measure immediate changes. The main outcome is the change in knowledge and awareness, while secondary outcomes include activity limitations and social participation barriers. The study runs until April 2027 and includes adults aged 18 to 65 years.
