What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating how brief online activities may influence mood and attitudes in people with schizophrenia disorders and healthy individuals. This study is testing the acceptability and initial effects of these activities in clinical samples and healthy controls. It is an interventional trial sponsored by the University of Alabama at Birmingham, using a randomized and double-blind design. Participants will complete brief behavioral activities online, divided into two groups: Emotion Coping Activities and Belief Modifying Activities. These activities are delivered as brief online sessions aimed at changing mood and attitudes. The study includes a baseline assessment and a follow-up about a week after completing the activities. During the study, participants will complete questionnaires measuring depression (PHQ-9), anxiety (GAD-7), and motivation and pleasure (MAP-SR) at the start and after the study period. The total participation duration is approximately one week. The study monitors changes in these measures to assess the effects of the online activities on mood and related symptoms.
