Cardiovascular diseases, including heart disease, stroke, and metabolic diseases such as diabetes, are among the leading causes of death. This research aims to advance understanding by collecting and storing medical information and biological samples from people with and without these conditions. The study serves as a resource to support future investigations into the causes and effects of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Participants are grouped based on their medical history those diagnosed with cardiovascular or metabolic diseases, those without such diagnoses but with a family history, and healthy individuals without personal or family history. The biorepository collects blood, urine, stool, and heart tissue samples, including residual samples from other studies, to create a comprehensive collection available for research. Throughout the study, participants provide samples and related health information that researchers store and use to track the number of samples collected each year. This observational study does not involve treatment but focuses on gathering data and specimens over approximately 30 years. Participants may expect periodic sample collection and information updates to help support ongoing research efforts.
