Compare the Patient Satisfaction and Effectiveness After Novel Application-based or Conventional Health Education of Bowel Preparation for Colonoscopy - Randomized Controlled Trial

Colorectal cancer is the most common cancer in Taiwan and can significantly affect a patient's physical, psychological, spiritual, and social well-being. Early diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer and precancerous lesions can improve quality of life and reduce economic impact. This study aims to compare the effectiveness and patient satisfaction of a novel animation video and game-based health education method versus conventional health education for bowel preparation before colonoscopy. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the experimental group receiving novel application-based health education or the control group receiving conventional health education. The study uses a randomized controlled trial design and questionnaires to assess patient knowledge, satisfaction, and the quality of bowel preparation. Questionnaires may be completed on-site using paper or by phone with internet resources. Participants will complete questionnaires investigating the time spent, satisfaction with health education, knowledge of bowel preparation, and colonoscopy results. The primary outcome is the quality of bowel preparation immediately after colonoscopy, and satisfaction with health education is measured immediately after the intervention. The study will use statistical methods to compare differences between the two education methods. Overall participation involves completing health education and follow-up questionnaires around the colonoscopy procedure.
