Study of Clinical and Molecular Features of Colon Cancer in Adults

Researchers are studying colorectal cancer to understand how age and sex affect the diseases clinical, pathophysiological, and molecular characteristics. The goal is to investigate factors that influence the prognosis of colorectal cancer, including survival outcomes based on sex and molecular profiles. This observational study is sponsored by Seoul National University Bundang Hospital and aims to provide insights into colorectal cancer prognosis by analyzing these factors. The study involves patients who have been treated after being diagnosed with colorectal cancer. There are no experimental treatments or interventions provided, as it is an observational study focusing on analyzing existing patient data related to sex hormone receptors and molecular profiles. The study tracks these patients over time to observe survival and disease recurrence patterns. Participants will be followed for up to 120 months from enrollment, during which researchers will assess overall survival and disease-specific survival in relation to molecular characteristics and sex hormone receptors. They will also monitor disease-free survival until any recurrence of colorectal cancer is documented. No additional treatments are administered, and participants usual care continues under their healthcare providers throughout the study period.
