What this Trial Is About

Cervical cancer is a significant health concern for women, and early detection through screening can reduce illness and death. This research focuses on understanding the psychological and social factors that influence women's decisions to participate in cervical cancer screening. The study aims to translate and culturally adapt the Cervical Cancer Screening Uptake Questionnaire (CCSTQ) into Turkish and assess its measurement properties among Turkish women. The study involves two main phases: first, translating and adapting the CCSTQ following international guidelines; second, evaluating the questionnaire's validity and reliability through various statistical methods. Women aged 21 to 65 who meet the study criteria will complete the Turkish version of the CCSTQ and the Health Belief Model Scale for Cervical Cancer and the Pap Smear Test using an online survey. No clinical treatments or interventions will be given. Participants will be assessed at the beginning and again two weeks later to test the reliability of the questionnaire. Researchers will analyze the data using statistical software to measure factors like consistency, validity, and reliability of the questionnaire. The study will continue until the target number of participants is reached and all assessments are complete, providing insight into the questionnaire's usefulness for Turkish women.
