What this Trial Is About

Researchers are investigating the personality and psychological traits of people with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) using standard questionnaires. The study aims to understand how mood and personality affect treatment choices and adherence to therapy. This information could help personalize treatment and improve how well patients stick to their prescribed therapies. Participants will be followed in two parts: first, through mood, personality, and sleep questionnaires for those suspected of having OSA or scheduled for sleep monitoring; second, by monitoring patients using continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy to observe how their personality and mood impact acceptance, stress, and compliance with the treatment. During the study, participants will complete baseline personality assessments with the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire and be followed for three months to track CPAP treatment adherence. Researchers will collect data on mood, personality, treatment acceptance, and compliance to better understand how psychological factors influence outcomes. The study will run until August 2025 and include adults aged 18 to 70 years.
