What this Trial Is About

This research aims to evaluate the impact of an immunization education program on parents' hesitancy to vaccinate their children. It addresses the important role healthcare workers play in encouraging vaccination and the challenges posed by vaccine hesitancy among parents. The study focuses on parents of hospitalized children and seeks to determine whether targeted education can reduce vaccine hesitancy. Parents in the experimental group will receive a 30-minute face-to-face immunization education session designed by experts in child health and public health nursing. This interactive program encourages parent participation. The control group will not receive any intervention. This randomized controlled study uses a parallel group design to compare vaccine hesitancy between these two groups. Participants will be assessed using the Parental Vaccination Hesitancy Scale, with measurements taken up to 10 months after the intervention. Researchers will monitor and compare the average hesitancy scores between groups. The study includes parents of children aged 0 to 6 who are admitted to the pediatric ward and have not previously received immunization training. The total duration and follow-up extend to 10 months from the start of the education program.
