The goal of this clinical pilot study is to assess effectiveness and feasilibity of structured Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) for parents and adolescents. Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Adolescents aged 12 to 18 years in the family
- Families coping with mild problems
You will not qualify if you...
- Blended families with complex loyalties between children and stepparents
- Families with members who have experienced serious trauma such as sexual or physical abuse or severe neglect
- Families where parents or children have severe DSM disorders such as substance abuse or psychosis
