What this Trial Is About
Researchers are investigating patients with allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis ABPA to understand how fungal test results in sputum or lung fluid samples relate to their clinical features and outcomes. This multicenter cohort study classifies patients into fungal-positive and fungal-negative groups based on tests such as fungal culture, galactomannan assay, and next-generation sequencing. The study aims to compare baseline clinical data, laboratory results, imaging findings, treatment responses, and long-term outcomes including exacerbation rates between these groups. Participants diagnosed with ABPA according to the 2024 ISHAM criteria will be grouped based on fungal test results from sputum or bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. They will be monitored over a 12-month period, during which clinical features, immunological markers, lung function, radiological changes, and treatment responses will be tracked. The study includes both retrospective and prospective data collection from multiple centers. Throughout the study, participants will undergo serial clinical and laboratory assessments to evaluate acute exacerbation rates, time to first exacerbation, pulmonary function, and other clinical outcomes. Researchers will collect and analyze comprehensive clinical data including medical history, imaging, laboratory tests, and treatment records. Follow-up will continue for up to 12 months to monitor disease progression and healthcare use.
