What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying the role of genetic polymorphisms related to ionic transport regulation in Caucasian patients with Menie8re's Disease (MD). This research compares genetic and biohumoral factors among patients with definite MD, patients with vestibular migraine, and a group of non-vertiginous individuals. The study aims to better understand the genetic influence on MD and its differences from vestibular migraine, as familial cases suggest a genetic and environmental interplay. Participants are grouped into those with definite Menie8re's Disease, definite Vestibular Migraine, and non-vertiginous controls. Each participant will provide a blood sample to analyze genetic and biohumoral factors, including specific biohumoral markers like interleukins and endogenous ouabain. The study collects data from enrollment through to the end of enrollment in December 2027, with biohumoral factors monitored until July 2027. During the study, participants will undergo blood withdrawal for genetic and biohumoral testing. Researchers will measure the genetics of ionic transporters and biohumoral factors over time. The study is observational, involving no treatment intervention, and participants are monitored from enrollment until the study's conclusion. Participation involves providing consent and a blood sample, with follow-up assessments based on these biological measures.
