This research aims to evaluate whether allowing patients admitted to the antepartum unit to select visual art for their hospital room can improve their overall satisfaction with the hospital experience compared to routine care without selected art. The study focuses on pregnant patients receiving care in the hospital environment and seeks to understand the impact on patient experience and satisfaction. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: one group will have patient-selected visual art placed in their antepartum hospital room, while the other group will receive routine care without any visual art selection. This is an interventional study without masking, conducted over approximately two years. Throughout the study, participants will complete questionnaires including the HCAHPS Survey to measure overall hospital rating and specific patient experience aspects. Researchers will collect qualitative data on patient experience during their antepartum admission. The study will monitor these outcomes until completion, with participant involvement primarily consisting of questionnaire completion and hospital stay in the assigned room setting.
