DiurHF is a prospective, multicenter, observational, study that compares continuous with intermittent infusion of furosemide in patients admitted with a diagnosis of ADHF. Previous pilot study design was planned to anticipate a larger multicenter trial able to definitively evaluate the optimal loop diuretic use strategy in patients with ADHF.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients over 18 years
- Diagnosis of acute decompensated heart failure with symptoms like dyspnea, orthopnea, peripheral edema, or major fatigue and at least two clinical signs such as rales, hepatomegaly, pulmonary congestion on chest X-ray, jugular vein dilation, or a third heart sound
- Blood BNP level greater than 100 pg/mL
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients receiving more than 40 mg of intravenous furosemide
- End-stage renal disease or on renal replacement therapy
- Recent myocardial infarction within 30 days before screening
- Systolic blood pressure less than 80 mmHg
- Creatinine levels greater than 4 mg/dL
- Presence of sepsis, liver disease, inflammatory disease, or cancer
