Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 218 years or older
- Undergoing colonic resection (right, left, subtotal, or total) for benign or malignant disease
- Undergoing rectal resection with or without stoma for benign or malignant disease
- Surgery performed laparoscopically or robotically
- Surgery using low stable pressure pneumoperitoneum with AirSeal
- Covered by a medicare system
- Provided oral agreement after reading the information letter
You will not qualify if you...
- Open laparotomy procedure
- Additional resections except appendectomy or liver biopsy
- Transverse colectomy
- Emergency surgery
- Presence of pelvic sepsis
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Legal incapacity or any physical, psychological, social, or geographical condition that impairs consent
- Persons deprived of liberty or under guardianship
