Researchers are conducting a retro-prospective survey to study the prevalence and incidence of rare primary headaches in patients seen at Italian Tertiary Headache Centres. This observational registry collects data from May 1, 2014, onward, including both past records and ongoing annual data. The study focuses on rare primary headaches as defined in specific chapters of the International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD-3 beta). Patients diagnosed with rare primary headaches are invited to participate by providing informed consent. Data collected include demographic details, diagnosis, treatments, clinical features, and comorbidities. Information is securely encoded to avoid duplication and to track patients who visit multiple centres. Data collection is managed through a web-based platform. Participants provide consent and share their medical data for this long-term registry. Researchers track the incidence and prevalence of these headaches over a 10-year period within tertiary headache centres. The study monitors patients' headache characteristics and treatments without any interventions. The registry aims to enhance understanding of rare headaches by compiling comprehensive clinical information over time.
