AI-Summary

What this Trial Is About

This research aims to evaluate the impact of the optimized online program eBASIS on improving how evidence-based practices (EBPs) are used by mental health providers in schools. The study focuses on enhancing provider attitudes, social norms, and self-confidence related to EBPs, specifically Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Plus (CBT+), which participating clinicians are already scheduled to receive. The goal is to improve treatment quality and youth mental health outcomes by addressing behavioral factors influencing EBP adoption. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two online groups: the eBASIS group, which receives an interactive and motivational implementation strategy designed to boost behavioral intentions before and after EBP training; or the eAttention Control group, which receives an online training experience similar in length and format but without the active eBASIS content. Both groups engage during the preparation and adoption phase before implementing EBPs in schools. During the study, researchers will assess changes in provider attitudes, social norms, outcome expectations, self-efficacy, perceived needs, intention to implement EBPs, and usability of the intervention over several time points from baseline to three months after training. Additional measures include leadership and school climate related to implementation. Providers will participate in online training and complete questionnaires to track these outcomes. The study begins in October 2024 and follows participants through the training and early implementation phases.
