What this Trial Is About

Researchers are conducting a prospective multicenter observational study to understand the clinical spectrum and natural progression of Cerebral Small Vessel Disease (CSVD). The study aims to assess clinical, genetic, and epigenetic features in patients with CSVD, identify independent imaging markers, and improve clinical management of this condition. This study is sponsored by Bin Cai and follows patients over many years to gather extensive data on this disease. Participants will be observed without receiving experimental treatments, with a focus on monitoring brain imaging features related to CSVD. These include MRI assessments for microbleeds, white matter hyperintensity, lacunes, perivascular spaces, and brain atrophy. The study will track the development and burden of these imaging markers over time to better understand disease progression. During the study, participants will undergo regular evaluations that include MRI scans and clinical assessments to document changes in their condition. Researchers will collect data from enrollment until death or up to 30 years, focusing on overall patient outcomes and imaging findings. The study does not involve any intervention but requires participants to cooperate with assessments and imaging procedures to contribute valuable information to the understanding of CSVD.
