What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying chronic low back pain, a common cause of disability with unclear causes in most cases. This study aims to better understand the relationship between body balance measurements and the pain experienced by patients. By identifying specific postural patterns linked to pain, movement issues, and fear of movement, the study hopes to improve diagnosis and treatment for people with chronic low back pain. The study involves measuring stabilometric parameters, which assess balance and posture, in patients with chronic low back pain. These measurements will be taken with eyes open and closed to evaluate their link to pain levels, movement of the lower back, fear of movement, and quality of life. The research does not involve treatment but focuses on detailed balance and pain assessments. Participants will undergo tests measuring their postural stability and pain levels at the start of the study. Researchers will analyze correlations between balance data and pain, fear, and quality of life. The study includes reproducibility checks of these measurements to ensure accuracy. Participants must be able to communicate in French and provide informed consent. The study lasts from June 2024 to June 2026.
