What this Trial Is About

Researchers are evaluating the effects of deep breathing exercises combined with core stability exercises in treating patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS). AS can cause pain, reduced flexibility, and poor posture, which may negatively impact respiratory function. The study aims to see if adding deep breathing to core exercises improves respiratory health and physical function in people with this condition. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: one group will perform deep breathing exercises along with core stability exercises designed to strengthen muscles and improve posture, while the other group will do core stability exercises alone. The deep breathing exercises focus on engaging the diaphragm to enhance lung function and relaxation. The study lasts 4 to 6 weeks, during which the effects of these exercise programs will be assessed. During the study, participants will be evaluated for respiratory function and functional exercise capacity after 4 to 6 weeks of treatment. The researchers will monitor improvements in lung efficiency, posture, strength, and overall physical fitness. The study is double-blinded and sponsored by Beni-Suef University, and participants will continue their usual medical treatments throughout the trial.
