Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Healthy recreationally active men
- BMI between 18.5-27 kg/m2
- Aged between 20 to 45 years
- Regular exercise at least 3 times per week for longer than 3 months
- Cardio exercise lasting longer than 30 minutes at least once a week
- Stable weight for more than 3 months (no change in weight +/- 3%)
- Non-shift workers sleeping 6.5 to 9 hours per night for the past 3 months
- Non-smoker
You will not qualify if you...
- Having any cardiovascular, metabolic, or lung disease (e.g., angina or uncontrolled arrhythmias)
- Having infectious contagious diseases
- Using medications that affect metabolic responses (including anti-inflammatory drugs)
- Smoking
- Heavy alcohol intake (more than 4 drinks any day or more than 14 drinks per week)
- Following special diets such as intermittent fasting or ketogenic diets
