This research aims to evaluate the levels of nicotine, cannabis, and harmful toxicants in the blood and urine of young adults who use nicotine e-cigarettes andor cannabis products. It focuses on understanding differences in self-reported use behaviors and exposure to carcinogens among different consumer groups. The study also gathers data to help plan future, larger studies by estimating effect sizes. Participants fall into one of three groups those who mainly use nicotine e-cigarettes daily, those who primarily use cannabis at least three times per week, and those who co-use both daily e-cigarettes and cannabis multiple times per week. The study collects information through questionnaires and assessments about their use patterns and dependence. Participants choose their preferred location for study completion during scheduling. During a single study session lasting about one hour, participants provide samples and complete surveys assessing toxicant exposure, use behaviors, and psychosocial factors. Researchers measure biomarker differences between groups and record responses about recruitment methods and study interest. The study includes a follow-up period of up to one year to track participant engagement and recall of recruitment materials.
