What this Trial Is About
Researchers are developing a new way to measure walking quality called the Gait Deviation Index (GDI) specifically for people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This study aims to create an MS-specific GDI since current methods do not provide clinicians with an easy and objective way to assess walking quality in this population. The study is observational and focuses on improving therapy by tracking patients' progress with reliable measures. Participants will undergo camera-based tracking during their walking cycle to record body positions without markers. This camera-based kinematic analysis will observe gait quality in people with MS. The study involves only observation and does not include treatments or interventions, focusing instead on gathering detailed movement data. During the study sessions, researchers will measure the movements involved in walking (gait cycle kinematics) and conduct a 6-minute walk test. These assessments help understand walking ability and quality. The study is open to adults aged 18 to 75 with relapsing forms of MS who can walk overground and have been relapse-free for at least one month. The total participation duration varies by individual.
